​THE ACADEMY FOR THEATER ARTS

Classes are separated into skill levels/ability as well as age group. Please contact us if you have any question as to the appropriate Class Level for your dancer. We are flexible in moving dancers up or down a level, depending upon ability and maturity.  Below this year's class schedule, the following class descriptions represent classes that we generally offer, depending upon interest and enrollment. Private and semi-private instruction is also available. Please contact the studio for more information.

General Classes Offered at Trinity:
*Please note: classes are offered based upon availability of qualified instructors and interest. Not all classes listed below are offered every season. If there is a class of particular interest to you that you do not see listed on our current schedule, please let us know and we will match you with another appropriate class:

Early Childhood/Preschool - (Ages 1.5-5)

• Dance with Me (1.5-3) - Child with Parent/Guardian. An age appropriate introduction to dance movement, balance, flexibility, coordination, musicality and rhythm to enjoy with an adult family member/friend.
• "Tiny Dancers" Mini Ballet/Jazz/Tap Combo (3-5)- An introduction to Ballet, Tap and Jazz for our smallest dancers with a focus on creative movement, rhythm, counting and fun.
• Tiny Tumblers (3-5)- An introduction to tumbling, acrobatics, flexibility, balance and coordination.

Petite (Ages 5-9)

• Ballet/Jazz/Tap Combo - Students new to dance who seek an overall introduction to ballet, jazz and tap dancing styles. 
• HipHop - Students will enjoy learning elements of creative movement, rhythm and hip hop style dance. 
• Ballet - Students begin to learn the art of ballet, proper positions, turns and leaps 
• Tap - Level 1 Tap Dance class. Join us to shuffle, shuffle and make some noise!
• Jazz - Level 1 Jazz Class. Come learn the "sassiest" dance style. 
• Acro-Dance Class. A combination of tumbling  with elements of Jazz and Hip Hop style dance. 
• Theater Arts - (1st grade-3rd grade) - Intro to Theater and Performance through games, role play and performance.

Juniors (Ages 9-12)

• Intro to Dance - Students new to dance will learn basic ballet, tap and jazz technique to ready them for the next level of instruction or so that they gain a basic familiarity with dance terms and styles. Perfect for students with limited experience or students involved with theater. 
• Ballet/Jazz Combo - An advanced beginner class for students who have some experience in dance. 
• Ballet/Lyrical - Students continue their ballet technique education and barre work through the interpretation of music.  
• Musical Theater Production (Musical Theater Troupe Only)- In this class, students will learn elements of theater performance and production as well as musical theater style choreography.   During the course of the year, students will learn choreography and staging for a medley of songs that will culminate in a performance at showcase. 
• Dance Combo for Theater - Join us for this class in fundamental dance technique and choreography. Students will learn various styles of dance that are routinely utilized in musical theater choreography. Learn how to quickly pick up steps and ace your dance audition. 
• Tap 
• Jazz - Jazz class is a fun and energetic form of dance. Students will continue to learn jazz technique and will refine their leaps, turns and extension.
• Hip-Hop - Energetic dance class that incorporates elements of locking, popping and modern movement with some acrobatics and tumbling
• Theater Arts II - (5th-9th grade) - One Act Stage Performance and Production

Seniors (Ages 14-18)

• Dance Combo for Theater - Students new to dance will learn basic ballet, tap and jazz technique to ready them for the next level of instruction or so that they gain a basic familiarity with dance terms and styles. Perfect for students with limited experience or students involved with theater. 
• Jazz/Musical Theater - Join us for this class in fundamental dance technique and choreography. Students will learn various styles of dance that are routinely utilized in musical theater choreography. Learn how to quickly pick up steps and ace your dance audition.

Advanced Classes and Adult Classes (Ages 17 & up)

• Dancing for Actors/Singers - Join us for this class in fundamental dance technique and choreography. Students will learn various styles of dance that are routinely utilized in musical theater choreography. Learn how to quickly pick up steps and ace your dance audition.

• Stretch Flex Core - This dance fitness class is offered to provide dance students with training in flexibility, strength and technique to help develop beautiful lines. 
• Dance Fitness Combo: Come try out various styles of dance while getting in shape! Dance to your favorite tunes and work on cardio fitness and core strength.

* End of the Year Showcase- Students  will perform their dances in a recital showcase in June (Date and Location TBA).  More information on  Showcase will be available in the Spring.
