Trinity Competition and Performance
Dance Troupe

Trinity Dance Company is home to our Troupe of Competition Dancers. 

The Trinity Dance Troupe is open to dedicated dancers ages 6-19, by invitation/audition only. 

The Troupe is divided into  groups based on age and skill level:

*Diamond (Senior/Teen Advanced - 13-19)

Diamond dancers are our elite level dancers who dedicate 5 or more hours in the studio each week. These dancers have proven themselves highly successful at regional and national competitions. Diamonds perform 2-3 solos, 1-3 duos and up to 4 group dances at competition. They compete at 4 Regional Competitions and 2 Nationals as well as attend a dance convention.

*Onyx (Junior/Teen/Senior Intermediate - 11-18)

Students are placed at the Onyx Level based upon their scores and past performances at Regional and National competitions as well as their mastery of dance technique and artistry. Onyx level students perform in numerous group numbers, 2-3 solos and are entitled to compete for Titles at competitions. Onyx dancers typically spend between 4-6 hours in studio each week. Onyx students attend an intensive Dance Convention, 4 Regional Competitions and Nationals.

 *Platinum (Junior/Teen Novice- 9-16)

Platinum Level students perform in  group routines, 1 solos and are entitled to compete for Titles at competitions. They are placed into this level based upon dance experience, mastery of intermediate level skills and age. Platinum dancers generally rehearse between 4-6 hours in the studio each week. Platinum troupe participates in 2 Regional and 1 National Competition.

 *Amethyst (Petite/Junior Novice  - age 6-10)

Our Amethyst level dancers are invited to the competition troupe based upon their performances at our Showcase, in their classes and previous competitions. Amethysts  spend between 2-4 hours in the studio each week where they work on Technique, Conditioning, Flexibility and learning various styles of dance. They also join the Platinum and Onyx dancers in our Production Number. Amethysts take part in two Regional and a National Competition.


Our Troupes perform at various Regional and National Dance Competitions throughout the Tri-State Area. Instruction includes intensive classes in Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Modern and Ballet Technique. Solos are also available to Troupe Members, but not required.

In addition to taking the stage for our Showcase, Regional and National Competitions, we endeavor to expose our dancers to as many performance opportunities as possible throughout the year including venues such as local parades, festivals, Sussex County Miners Minor League Baseball Team, Six Flags-Great Adventure, Hershey Park, Universal Studios Theme Parks, Disney World, Epcot Center, Broadway and more...
