Trinity Awards and Scholarship Banquet is coming - June 25th - Seeking Program SponsorsDear Family, Friends and local business owners: I am writing on behalf of the talented young performers at Trinity Studios in Sparta to ask for your support as a sponsor of our 2021 Awards Banquet and Showcase program. Trinity Studios is a performing arts program offering a well-rounded education in dance, theater, musical theater and fitness. Students within our Academy perform at Regional and National Talent Competitions in various styles of dance, vocal performance and musical theater. Despite a challenging and uncertain year, our students have been dedicated to their craft and enjoyed a successful first year. It was truly a joy to watch each dancer and singer grow this year. COVID-19 has forced us to change the way we hold our final performance. To that end, this year in lieu of a formal day-long recital program, we will be creating a special digital performance that will showcase each performer’s hard work this year. With our plans for this video to be viewed during an outside-air banquet, we have created a unique opportunity for local businesses to support our wonderful community program while promoting their own services. Placing an Ad or Sponsorship with us will directly benefit the students and families at Trinity Studios by helping to defray the cost of the video production as well as the cost of the banquet. Below are the links to our ad sponsorship form which enumerates opportunities to advertise in our digital, full color program, as well as on the video itself. Families of our performers can also support our program with Boosters celebrating their child’s accomplishments this year. We thank you in advance for any support you provide. With business partners like you, we will be able to continue to grow and provide a professional and enriching performing arts program for the members of our community. With sincere appreciation, Lauren Fraser – Studio Director

We are so excited to have Curtis "Trix" Pearson join us at the studio on December 12, 2020 from 11-1:30 for a Master Class in Hip Hop. Space is limited. For more information about this Master Class and others, please contact us at the studio.
If you're like us at Trinity, you are really tired of all this COVID-19 stuff limiting and restricting our every move. But if you're also like us, you believe that the safety of our kids and families is of the utmost importance. Accordingly, we want you all to be assured that we are taking our obligations to keep all of us safe, (and our studio opened for operation) very seriously at the studio.
Here are some of the guidelines and changes you can expect when you come to the studio for your first class or workshop: 1. No one will be permitted to wait or congregate in the waiting area. We will open the doors for each class and invite each student in. We ask that parents drop your kids off and have them wait outside of the studio (please wait with the little ones until we open the doors). At the end of class, we will once again open the doors and release your children to you. Please be prompt both at drop off and pick up. We will be installing a door bell in the event you need to enter while classes are ongoing or to drop something off with the office. Just "ding" us and we'll let you in. 2. If your child or anyone at home is unwell, please stay home. Upon arrival to the studio, anyone entering will have their temperature checked with a temporal thermometer. Anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees or more, will not be permitted into the studio. Once students enter, they will be asked to sanitize their hands. We will have plenty of hand sanitizer at the ready for before, during and after classes. 3. Masks are required to be worn in the dance studio for group classes, and proper social distancing measures and appropriate spacing will be in effect and adhered to as much as humanly possible. We also ask that parents entering the facility wear a mask. 4. Did I mention hand sanitizer? We'll be using it. A lot. 5. The studio will be sanitized in between classes, so please be patient as we wipe down surfaces and any equipment that was used during the class before. Although we don't recommend it (at all), you should be able to eat off of our floors when we're done. (But don't.) 6. When students enter the studio, they will leave their belongings in the waiting area (neatly, please) and bring with them their shoes and a water bottle. There will be no sharing of things - yours or ours - in the studio. 7. Any questions or concerns about our policies and procedures regarding measures to keep the studio safe and clean can be directed to Ms. Lauren or Ms. Dina. We thank you for your understanding, patience and flexibility during this very bizarre time. We hope we will be back to "normal" sooner than later and we wish all of our families good health! "It's the first day of dance class and I have nothing to wear!" Moms and dads, this is a statement you should never hear from your dancers and performers. Here's where we tell you what you need to look and feel your best in class. Please understand that we will be enforcing class dress codes not just to be bossy (although we sometimes like being bossy) but to enhance your student's experience in their classes. Dance is a highly disciplined athletic activity so the "uniforms" we have chosen are with purpose.
**Please Note: We understand that kids' feet grow exponentially and shoes are expensive. Thus, if last year's shoes fit, we say wear them! During classes, whatever brand or style your child already owns will be acceptable for wear (if you're not sure, please ask his/her teacher). ***However, we will publish a list of REQUIRED shoes for recital in the winter, which must purchased by April 1 so that they are properly worn in before our June recital. Love dancing, singing, acting, designing costumes and sets? We've got the class for them at Trinity.
Usually reserved for our Competition Troupe, "Production" combines elements of story telling into a performance piece that always entertains. This year we are expanding the class and opening it up to all theater lovers age 8 and up. Musical Theater Production (Production, for short) will take students through the various facets of musical theater combining dance, acting, singing and stage production. Students will learn scenes from a well-known musical, audition for various roles in those scenes, learn songs and choreography, and help design their own costumes, sets and props. Throughout the course, they will engage in theater/acting exercises and learn common stage terms and direction. The class will culminate in a performance at our June recital. For registration information and to sign up for this fun and exciting class, visit our Registration page or click the link below. Did you know Ms. Melissa owned a dance studio in Sparta for many years called Willow Tree Dance Academy?
That's just one of so many reasons we are so excited to have her as part of our talented team of dance instructors at Trinity Studios and Trinity Dance Company. Melissa Stewart has over 20 years of dance education experience, and she is so excited to meet and work with all of our beautiful dancers at Trinity. Ms. Melissa will be teaching Ballet/Lyrical 2 & 3; Tap 2; Dance Fitness (stretch/core/flex); Advanced Technique; Adult Tap and Adult Ballet/Jazz. She will also be choreographing many of our Senior Solos as well. For more information about Ms. Melissa and her extensive background as a dancer and a dance teacher, visit her profile on our About page. What's cuter than your little 4 year old princess or prince twirling around the living room to "Let It Go" from Frozen? How about 10 of them twirling, tapping and tumbling?
The Creative Movement class at Trinity Dance Company is a wonderful introduction to dance for our tiniest dancers. Combining ballet, tap, jazz and tumbling, our students enjoy studying different forms of dance while also learning coordination, counting and rhythm. This class is developmentally appropriate for children between the ages of 3-5 (preschool & pre-K), and helps to create the foundation upon which their future dance education can be built. We offer this class on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 beginning September 12, 2020. At the conclusion of our dance season, our Creative Movement students will perform in a very special recital where they will showcase all of the dance skills they obtained during the year for friends and family. For more information about this class or any of our dance classes or theater workshops, please contact us: trinitystudiosnj@gmail.com. We look forward to meeting your child this September. We are so excited to announce an amazing partnership with our friends at Titan Elite Training Center in Sparta!
We will be offering Acro/Tumbling at the beautiful Titan facility through their highly qualified gymnastics instructors. Our students will learn and refine their floor skills, which will enhance their dance performance in areas such as Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical and Modern. Titan is offering all Trinity students a significant discount of $70/month/class (regular classes are $85/month/class at Titan) to take advantage of this opportunity to broaden their dance horizons. Classes run month-month, so students need not commit for the entire year, but students who remain in the classes will learn a choreographed routine to be performed at our recital . At Trinity, students will be incorporating the Acro/Tumbling skills they acquire into their dance routines in their classes such as Jazz, Hip-Hop and Lyrical. We are also excited to offer our Level 1-3 students a Stretch/Flex/Core class to focus on dance fitness, flexibility, developing beautiful lines and core strength. We will also be offering Barre Classes and other fitness classes for older students (16 and up) and adults. For more information on these new class offerings, please visit the class schedule or contact us at the studio: trinitystudiosnj@gmail.com ### 6/30/2020 0 Comments Welcome to the Trinity FamilyWe are so excited to share our love of dance, theater and performance with all of you. As many of you know, our beloved Miss Michelle (Farinella) who created an amazing 29 year legacy of innovative and award-winning dance education through Dance Dimensions by Michelle, announced her retirement and the closing of DDBM. As soon as we heard the news, we jumped into action. With the help of Ms. Madison and Miss. Emily, we came up with plans for a new studio that would continue much of Miss Michelle's tradition of dance excellence, but would also offer new opportunities for students of the performing arts. Trinity Studios was born of our passion and love for our kids, our DDBM dance family, and the stage, of course.
At Trinity Studios, we believe in a well-rounded dance education – combining learning for the body, mind and heart. We offer classes in dance, fitness and wellness for ages 3-adult. Our students receive a balanced dance education in Ballet and Lyrical, Tap, Jazz, Tumbling, Musical Theater and Hip-Hop. The Academy at Trinity Dance Studios offers advanced dancers, age 8-18, opportunities to compete in Regional and National dance competitions. The Academy focuses on developing “triple-threat” skills in the areas of dance, theater and voice training. Invitation to the Academy Competitive Dance Team is by Audition Only. The Academy also offers Musical Theater workshops and classes throughout the year and the summer for all students aged 7-18, as well as a (summer) musical theater stage production, which is open to auditions from the entire community. Trinity Dance Company Summer Programs and Camps offer both regular students and visiting students exposure to all genres of dance and theater in a fun, theme environment. Summer camps run throughout July and August for beginner through advanced dancers. Strength and flexibility are the foundation of our dance athletes. We are privileged to also offer our students Fitness and Training at our Sparta, NJ location and offer both group classes and individual personal training for young adults and adults. We look forward to beginning our inaugural season in 2020 with our summer camps in August. Registration for those sessions is open now and space will fill up quickly, so be sure to register soon by emailing trinitystudiosnj@gmail.com. ### |
